Se cumplen 11 años de la ampliación del horario de la Biblioteca Municipal de Daimiel, lo que permitió la inclusión de dicha biblioteca en el Mapa de Bibliotecas de Castilla-La Mancha. La ampliación consistió en alargar media hora más por la mañana y media hora más por la tarde. Así pasó a ser el nuevo horario de 10:30-14:00 y 16:30-20:00 de lunes a viernes.
Además de esto se sumó la apertura de la Biblioteca de Daimiel otras 5 horas en las mañanas de los sábados, con horario de 9:00-14:00. Esta medida se tomó debido a que muchos vecinos no podían utilizar los servicios de la biblioteca por motivos laborales. Del mismo modo los sábados se abriría también el Aula de Estudios para permitir aprovechar más los servicios de la biblioteca a aquellas personas que iban sólo para estudiar.
Actividades en la Biblioteca de Daimiel
A partir de este cambio, la Biblioteca de Daimiel cobró mayor protagonismo y empezaron a realizarse actividades en las instalaciones para fomentar su uso además de poder convertir a los vecinos en usuarios de la biblioteca.
Algunos ejemplos de los eventos que se han realizado en la Biblioteca de Daimiel son los que han tenido lugar esta semana, como por ejemplo la actividad “All you need… is a book”. Se prepararon 14 citas literarias a ciegas para celebrar San Valentín en la sala de adultos-juvenil, la idea era que los usuarios escogiesen alguno de los libros envueltos y se acercasen a su lectura sin prejuicios por el autor o el título. En la sala infantil también se preparó un punto de interés con cuentos y poesías que tratan todos los tipos de amor.
Otra actividad realizada en la sala infantil de la Biblioteca de Daimiel el día 19 de febrero fue la sesión “Piripao”. El narrador granadino, Juan Villén, cargado con una caja llena de cuentos, fue el encargado de acercar a 15 familias varios títulos y autores con el objetivo de que fuesen los propios padres, madres o docentes los que acercasen a los más pequeños el gusto por la lectura.
